Granby Regional Horse Council, Inc. Hosts Annual Fall Foliage Ride & Feast on October 21st
On Sunday October 21st, 2012 the Granby Regional Horse Council of Granby, MA will host GRHC’s Fall Foliage Ride & Feast for local horse owners (the GRHC does not provide horses for this event or any other event. You must have your own horse or access to a friend's horse) at Grencroft Farm in Southampton, MA. This trail ride consists of a marked trails through woods and fields ride with scenic views, open fields, and beautiful trails This event is held at the peak of the fall foliage season so expect beautiful scenery and great riding!!
The highlight of the event is the delicious homemade home-cooked dinner plus dessert served after the ride. There are several options for vegetarians too.
Entry fees for the ride are as follows. The ride and meal is $20.00 for GRHC & BSTRA (Bay State Trail Riders Association) members and $25.00 for non-members. It is $10.00 for Jr. Members 16 & under and $12.00 for Jr. Non-members who are 16 & under. Non-riders, spouses, and friends are welcome for the meal and fun later. The price for the meal alone for those who are not riding is $10.00 for members and $12.00 for non-members. There will also be tractor hay rides for those without a horse. (* If you wish, you may become a member of the GRHC at the ride and receive the lower member’s entry fee rate and all the benefits of being a member.)
So bring your own horse or borrow a friend’s and get ready for a great time. **** (Please note that the GRHC does not provide or rent out horses. We expect those attending to bring their own horse and to be experienced trail riders.)
Granby Regional Horse Council, Inc is a non-profit organization formed in 1994 that was created for horse owners & horse enthusiasts of all ages. They host organized trail rides, horse shows, gymkhanas, clinics, and present free talks on equine related subjects. The GRHC is affiliated with BSTRA (Bay State Trail Riders Association), an organization that works to save and maintain trails and trail access and ELCR Equestrian Land Conservation Resource a national organization that works to preserve open space and trails for equestrian use and conservation.
